My name is Danka Fiedor and I work with individuals and couples to help them uncover the tools and strategies that can allow them to more confidently navigate their mental health challenges.
I use a holistic approach that seeks to understand my clients as a whole, rather than focusing on an isolated event or problem which can leave the broader issues unresolved. I know that caring for our mental health is a crucial part of a healthy lifestyle and encourage the perception of therapy as a normal part of good self-care.
As a psychologist, I offer a personalised and adaptive approach to therapy.
I tailor my work to meet your unique needs and goals. My therapeutic framework integrates psychodynamic principles to explore underlying thoughts, feelings, and experiences, together with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) to address trauma and anxiety. I am an EMDRAA Accredited Practitioner and offer evidence-based practice as an ANZAED (Australia and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders) credentialed clinician.
I work in an LGBTQIA+ affirming and neurodivergent-affirming way, with experience supporting individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds, including gay, lesbian, and same-sex couples, and adults with ADHD and autism.
I also support clients under Workers Compensation/WorkCover and CTP schemes across Australia, subject to insurer approval and clinical suitability.
This integrative approach allows me to work with complex emotional and psychological issues, support recovery from trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, workplace injury, and motor vehicle accident-related trauma, and foster greater self-awareness, resilience, and growth.
Together, we’ll collaborate to create a safe, non-judgmental space for exploration, healing, and transformation.

By understanding the interconnectedness of your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, you’ll develop powerful tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease.
I offer a range of modalities, including EMDR, CBT, DBT, schema therapy, “parts work” such as Internal Family System (IFS) or Ego State Therapy and listening therapy SSP (Safe & Sound Protocol), to help you find the perfect fit for your personal growth journey.
